Girlgear Industries is the creator and distributor of unique home improvement accessories and apparel geared toward women. Our mission is to provide professional-grade products that are sturdy and stylish. Our values are centered on honesty, integrity, fairness, and fun. Our products are designed and created based on the actual product testing done by our company owner. The prototype is used on a job site and tested for durability, comfort and practicality.
In October 2007 Girlgear Industries changed ownership - Terri Ikeda purchased the company from Kellie Reamer, creator of the original "pink tool belt" product line. The company will continue to carry the signature pink product line designed with the do-it yourself woman in mind. In 2008, Girlgear Industries will be introducing new products including womens' pink tools and a collection of pink gardening accessories. New owner Terri Ikeda shares the inspiration behind her purchase of the company. "In August of 2007, I traveled to Kenya where I helped build homes for two struggling widows and their children. Out of a passion for the people in this small, island village I began to search for a business that would help fund my desire to build more homes. The purchase of Girlgear Industries will allow me to dedicate a portion of the profits to building more homes in Kenya. Coming from a construction background and working with my grandfather, father and brother who are all contractors, I am very excited to be part of a business that started with a vision of producing quality construction accessories for women. I can add to Girlgear Industries my own vision to continue construction of homes in Kenya.
